Art

In elementary grade art classes, students will explore many different aspects of visual art. Students will let their creativity flow by engaging in activities such as drawing and painting with various materials. They also learn art vocabulary, explore the work of many different artists and art movements, and learn to appreciate art as it enhances our world.

Music

In elementary grade music classes, students will learn and practice the basic fundamental elements of music such as sound, melody, harmony, rhythm, and expression (dynamics, tempo, articulation). Students will engage in singing, playing instruments, responding to music with movement, and connecting with various cultures through music. These classes will help students develop creativity, self-expression, and problem-solving while creating music together as a team. These classes will also provide students with performance opportunities, which will help them develop a sense of ensemble, tolerance, perseverance, and rigor—enabling them to be well-rounded citizens of our global society.

We offer lots of exciting and interesting clubs and after school activities for students to participate in!

• Hip Hop Dance Club
  • This club teaches students fun choreography in Hip Hop and Afro Latin Dance. It strengthens communication skills as well as team building.
• Cooking Club
  • Cooking Club teaches students how to use measuring cups/teaspoons. It enhances fine motor skills and teaches children how to read recipes and cook simple foods.
• Run Club
  • The purpose is to encourage and teach a healthy lifestyle as well as increase the students to develop a love for running.
• Student Council Club
  • This club teaches students leadership, the process of elections and how to outreach into the community.
• Board Games Club
  • This club allows students to interact with peers and learn sportsmanship, patience in taking turns and following rules of the game.
• Crafts Club
  • Crafts Club improves children's fine and gross motor skills. It helps them reduce stress and anxiety as well as meet new friends to produce friendship.
• Movie Club
  • Movie Club helps students learn how to overcome obstacles and become aware of other cultures.
• Afro Latin Dance Club
  • This club allows students to step out of their comfort zone into trying something new, or trying something you always wanted to do. It encourages students to be active and have fun learning Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue.
• Soccer Club
  • Soccer Club provides opportunities for youth soccer players to experience a healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment to learn, love and live the game of soccer.
• Bike Club
  • This club promotes the sport, provides a safe environment for members to cycle, and foster a sense of community.
• Global Garden
  • The mission is to provide education and resources as well as promote the love of gardening, floral design, civic and environmental responsibility.
• Tulsa Girls Art School
  • Our students learn the uses of art, entrepreneurialism, art show curation, and public speaking skills.
• The Good News Club
  • The goal is to evangelize children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God, and connect them to a local church. 
• ChangeMakers
  • The goal is to create positive change for the greater good by taking action to solve social or environmental problems.
